Sovereignty
was interpreted as a region. Keeping the
area it is a fixed price for each sovereign state. Moreover, when the region
has abundant economic potential. Not a bit of the region also trigger
conflicts. In the context of territorial sea, Bateman argued that countries in
the Asia Pacific is very focused on issues of maritime security area, some
related conflict claiming in jurisdictional sea area, the implications of the increasing activity of shipbuilding in
the region and the lack of agreement maritime border.
The
region of North Korea is 120.540 km2 which consist of 120.410 km2 of land and 130 km2 of territorial waters.
Overall border length is 1673 km, with a length of 1416 km is bordered by the
people’s Republic of China,238 km east south Korea and 19 km with Russia. North
Korea has a coastline uneven along 2.495 km
According
of this facts, our country is easily to have obstacle in maritime border.
Because of it we as representative of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,
will support options to strengthen the maritime border line. And we can stand
for defending our sovereign, and against whoever who wants to disturb in our
territorial.
In
our opinion, the proper resolution for the IMO to this is by holding :
1. Making
vivid rules of sea border line, Exclusive Fishing Zone, ZEE and make an
agreement to all countries who members in International Maritime Organization
and the countries where nears our country.
2. Making
a Maritime International Tribunal Law (MITL) for every agreement of the country
that make a relations. The performer can be punish in their country.
3. Strengthen
Maritime International Tribunal Law.
